Tonight, I made a delicious summer salad. Conveniently, it was pretty warm out today - a lovely 64 degrees. I prepared a Grilled Shrimp Salad with Fresh Thyme Vinaigrette (still can't spell it without checking first) & Spicy Corn Relish. It was quite tasty and good for us. After the weekend of skiing (if you can call it that), eating, and drinking, we needed something healthy. It didn't take quite as long to prepare as I thought; maybe I'm getting used to this! I did have to roast corn and the red pepper, but I'm a pro at that now. Other than that, it just took dicing, pureeing, and grilling some shrimp!
By the by, I'm using book titles as my blog titles. It offers a new challenge and brings my hobby of reading to my new found hobby of cooking. We'll see how long I can keep it up and how far I have to reach to make it make sense. It'll be a new layer of fun for my fans! (Yes, you're still fans)

Daughter of mine,
ReplyDeleteJust love the Book Title idea - adds a great twist to the blog. I think you would have told me if there were injuries on the trip. Welcome home and keep cooking!! Love, Mom L.
If you were trying to beguile me with your book titles....well...it worked. I clicked on your blog, read "Dante's Inferno", then instantly wanted to read more. What a loser I am. I even found myself wondering what particular sin would fit with that meal.
ReplyDeleteI think it's super cool you're still doing this: I certainly would've given up by now. Food looks fantastic!
I'm not sure what's sexier.. the shrimp or Matt in his wifebeater.
ReplyDeleteWoah! Your blog is super professional and nice looking! Or maybe I'm just a loser and don't know anything about blogs and cool internet stuff. But I like to go with the former - you do impressive things! Your dishes look wonderful, and I can't wait for you to cook for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dominique! I appreciate your appreciation of my blog and food. Just for that, I won't feed you the salsa I made tonight.
ReplyDeleteAnd Cory, next time we come over I'll tell Matt to strip down to his beater.
